Beta · iPhone and Apple Watch
Run it first
Moonstride is nearly ready, and we'd love runners to put it through its paces before anyone else. Run with it for two weeks, tell us what works and what doesn't, and help shape the coach before it reaches the App Store.
Free during the beta. Needs an iPhone on iOS 26 and an Apple Watch you run with.
- 1
Get the beta
Tap the button on your iPhone. TestFlight, Apple's app for betas, installs Moonstride.
- 2
Connect Apple Health
Moonstride reads your runs, sleep and heart rate. It's read-only, and there's no account to make.
- 3
Run for two weeks
Record every run with your Watch, as normal. Try the things below as you go, and tell us how it went.
Why another running app
Not another feed
Most running apps want an account, your runs on their servers, and a subscription before they'll coach you. Moonstride starts from the runs already on your iPhone, and keeps them there.
Your history on day one
Every run your Watch has ever recorded is already in it: personal bests found inside them, your current form, and a plan built from where you really are. Nothing to import and no starting from zero.
A coach, not a feed
Other apps show you numbers and a leaderboard. Moonstride tells you what the numbers mean, then talks you through the next run, hills and all.
Keep your Workout app
Record runs as you always do. They stay native Apple workouts, still close your rings and still count toward challenges.
Nobody's watching
No account, no public map of where you run and no server for your runs to sit on. They never leave your iPhone.
Your two weeks
Things to try
Run as you normally would. Somewhere along the way, try each of these. Tick them off here as you go.
Feedback
Tell us everything
The small things too. A wrong number, a confusing word or a line the coach got wrong is exactly what we need to hear.
- From the app. Take a screenshot in Moonstride and tap Share Beta Feedback. Draw on it to show us where.
- From TestFlight. Open TestFlight, tap Moonstride, then Send Beta Feedback. If it crashes, TestFlight asks to send us the report.
- By email. For anything longer, write to our support team.
At the end, we'd love to know
- Where did you get confused or stuck?
- Was anything wrong: a distance, a pace, a personal best, a hill?
- Was the coach's voice too chatty, too quiet, or just right?
- Did you open Moonstride on days you weren't running?
- What would make you use it instead of the app you use now?
- Would you want friends in it: shared routes, challenges, a club? What would that look like?
Questions
Is it free?
Yes, everything is free during the beta.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
It's made for one. Your runs come from the Watch's Workout app, through Apple Health, so without a Watch there's very little for Moonstride to read. You'll also need an iPhone on iOS 26.
Android?
Not for now. Moonstride is built around Apple Watch and Apple Health.
What do you see of my data?
Your runs, sleep and heart rate stay on your iPhone, beta or not. We only see what you choose to send: feedback and screenshots from TestFlight, crash reports if you allow them, and your emails.
What happens when it launches?
The App Store version installs over the beta, and your runs are still in Apple Health as they always were. Beta builds expire after 90 days, and TestFlight installs each new one for you.
See you out there
Thanks for running with us. Every run you log and every note you send makes Moonstride better for the next runner.
